LPG/OIL advice req

My mother in laws house has no gas supply she has had storage heaters for years which are next to useless we are thinking about going down the Oil or LPG route from the little research ive done it seems LPG is slightly cheaper in the long run. Just wondering if anyone has had either a Oil or LPG system fitted from scratch including Boiler rads pipes tank etc recently and if so what was the cost. Her house is a normal run of the mill 3 bed semi. Reason im asking is because we along with her two other siblings are covering the cost and i appreciate i can get quotes from companies etc but id just thought id ask here first. Plus even if you have Oil/LPG any pointers towards the annual running costs would also be appreciated

You might get more response if you post in the LPG, Heating Oil, Solid & Other Fuels forum (link at top of the page), where this sort of question has been covered before in other threads.

In short, the current comparative cost of LPG vs. oil (LPG being cheaper) is an anomaly, for many years LPG has been significantly more expensive than oil.

Have you also considered biomass (wood pellets) as the government RHI subsidy is still in place - http://www.energysavingtrust.org.uk/renewable-heat-incentive
