Hi looking to book a sun holiday next year, 2 friends, 5 children (2-8 years old) this year we went to Barmston beach. We really enjoyed it but next year we would like to brave somewhere with slightly more on the park , a nice beach but not massive any recommendations ?? thanks in advance

Not Primrose Valley then as it's massive, I didn't go on a Sun holiday but independently and didn't enjoy it.Life is like a bath, the longer you are in it the more wrinkly you become.0

i agree about Primrose Valley its way too big for us, but if you want to stay on camp all day there is loads to do, we have also stayed at Cayton Bay its a nice park0

Agree about Cayton Bay. Nice place, and not too far from Scarborough for days out.0

I've stopped at Primrose Valley numerous times and never had any issues.
Granted it is a very big site.
So for something a bit more secluded there is Reighton Sands or Blue Dolphin in the same area and are both Haven sites. Think Reighton is the smaller of the two. Stopped at Blue Dolphin before with no problems.
Or nearer Scarborough you have Park Resorts Cayton Bay which is a decent site.
We always have a weekend away on that coast in Springtime. Plenty to do and places to visit like Filey, Bridlington and Scarborough.0 -
Cayton Bay for us. Not too far from key places eg, Whitby, Scarborough etcIf you change nothing, nothing will change!!0

Plus 1 for Cayton Bay, nice walk into Scarborough along the cliff top.0

Another one for Cayton Bay from us too. We went for a long weekend over the August Bank Holiday a couple of years ago and it was busy but didn't feel too crowded or anything and I would imagine that's one of their busiest weekends.Lea

We always go for Reighton sands - very nice, relaxed park - not too big. The beach is a bit of a walk down a steepish path but is nice for a long walk. We normally have a day in Brid, one in Scarborough and nip up to Whitby.0

Can anyone please tell me if any of these caravans on the Yorkshire sites have parking outside the caravans, or do you have to park in a car park and walk to the caravan.
Am interested in a silver plus.

At Reighton sands and Cayton bay you can park next to your van. At Primrose valley we could too but it was a big site and not sure if that was the case at every van.0
