Halifax Clarity Card for £5 cashback? Has anyone recently opened one?

Hi. I followed the link on here for the Halifax clarity card to receive the £5 cashback each month, however when I called to set up direct debit ect I was told that this account doesn't have any cashback. I have looked on the Halifax website and there is no mention of £5 reward on any of the credit cards? Has anyone recently managed to open one?
Thanks

Have you met the eligibility criteria for the Reward variant?

All the details you need are in the Clarity card T&Cs which are available to view on their website. And almost certainly in those they sent you with the card (conditions 11 & 12 if memory serves).

Thanks just checked the terms and conditions in the link (I shredded mine) I'm now thinking the lady was wrong I spoke to at Halifax. I may just spend £300 on card and see if I get the free £5

It says on the Halifax website you have to visit branch to have "Reward" added. However, others on here have said phone can do it. Others have said the Reward is added automatically. Maybe spend your £300 a month and see what happens? According to others on here they will backdate it if it doesn't happen automatically.

Why? Those T&Cs on their website are 'draft' T&Cs, ie NOT the ones governing your account. The ones you shredded are the personal T&Cs governing your account.

Thanks for that. Do you have a link from the site? Cheers

Go to the Clarity section and click "common enquiries".

You need a better shredder if you can get the pieces and read what they said.
