new phone contract reduced credit score

I signed up with Clearscore last month, and was happy to find i had a reasonable credit score.

I paid off my contract with O2 (early) and signed up to a new deal with EE.

However, my credit rating dropped massively and said 'there are more than a few credit applications this year'

EE shows up as two hard searched plus one earlier this year from E.on. I've had no rejections - i thought obtaining credit (if telecoms counts as credit) was good for a credit score?

All ive really done is switched phone companies...

Positive account conduct is good for your credit history, but that takes time to count.

    A search is a negative.

However, if you are taking notice of the daft CRA made-up number, stop. There is no universal credit score in the UK, only a number a CRA can use to keep you paying its subscriptions.
