Is it better to apply for joint a/c first and 2 x sole later?

That's a general question about current accounts.
A more specific one is about Club Lloyds, where I want to open a joint one with my mother plus two soles, without having to take her to a branch. If I opened a joint one first online, would I then be able to open a sole one for her or would their system reject it?
