I've got a big tub of them in the freezer, any idea what I can make with them - they wont last much longer and everything I read keeps saying to use a tin of tomatoes! :)

Make tomato soup or blitz them in the blender to the consistency of tinned tomatoes.

They will keep in freezer forever, why do you say they will not?

    They will not poison you

Just use them like tinned toms, let them defrost and use as tinned ones in any recipe, squish them down a bit if you like, but I just bung them in

I make a nice pasta sauce using fresh toms, frozen would be the same. Cook down some onions in olive oil until they are golden, add the toms and put the pasta on. As the toms cook down, remove the skins [they shrivel into slivers] and when the pasta is done, toss in the onion and tomato mix - add pepper and cheese and eat.

I do what Sambucus does except I always blanch and peel the tomatoes first before using them in any recipe.

I used to until I just put them in the pan and the skin comes off without the additional step.

Frozen tomatoes taste of nothing. My FIL used to freeze tomatoes, and when you came to cook with them it was just like cooking with water. It's always best to cook them first before freezing.

i'd just use like tinned toms - I tend to cook down to a sauce first then freeze
