Excess Debit Cards

I have read many posts regarding the number of current accounts opened to take advantage of the switching bonuses etc. I seem to recollect seeing one MSE had 15+
I have no problem with this I have opened 6 , a modest number compared to some that I have read about.
My question is what does everyone do with the"spare" debit cards, obviously too many to carry around with you and in my case I have never used any of them other than my main account.
I know they are normally safe without the PIN number but I am a bit concerned in leaving them at home whilst out.
My answer is to cut up the cards but I will be interested in what others do.

and yet you leave all your other valuables at home* when you're out.
*i'm assuming you're not a snail and carry your home around on your back0 -
I invested in a small safe a while ago. I think that it was around £25-30 and is fixed to the concrete floor in a cupboard. I leave spare cards and my passport in there, among other things.
It's not fireproof and wouldn't deter a determined burglar but I wouldn't expect the average burglar to want to spend the time prising it open.0 -
I have 2 to 3 inches of debit cards banded together and hidden away0

Cut them up / shred them if you don't feel they are safe at home.
Take a scan/photo first, of front and back, as you will need card information if you ever want to switch.
Then work yourself up over where it would be safe to keep the images, lol.
I keep my two dozen cards in a safe, together with other valuables such as passports, birth and marriage certs, precious jewellery, cash etc.0 -
I keep mine hidden away in a draw and destroy the pin as soon as received in post for most of them as I never use them except for savings.....also then means can't be used to run up contactless transactions if got stolen. I have cut a few up in the past too and got the bank to cancel them on their system.0
