The DPD / Interlink game

At work we love the DPD tracking website where you can see exactly where your parcel is and when your delivery is expected. For example:
Sunny is currently making delivery number 26, you are delivery number 104.
Sunny is approximately 5 hours 30 minutes away from you.
You can watch Sunny's progress on our map.
So every couple of hours I ask around the office and get people to guess what delivery number Sunny is on. Worst answer gets to make the teas.
Sunny even gets a cheer when he arrives at the office.

It is actually a pleasant experience to receive a parcel from DPD because of this. I have never known it to be wrong. UK Mail also have a similar system but it is much less reliable and not so fun.0

I love DPD, when the van pulls up outside my house, I am already standing at the front door waiting for my parcel before the driver has even got my parcel out the vehicle!0

I once opened the door when l see the DPD van pull up, believe it or not the driver stated he couldn't get out of the van until the actually delivery time had been reached, he claimed he would be in trouble if he delivered earlier than the time slot given on the tracking. Crazy0

My DPD delivery driver is Matthew (hooray!) - we count him down on the map and call him our 'man in a van with a dot on a map'. I wish all couriers had this system (after waiting in ALL day last week for them to turn up at 5.30pm!).0

They don't have that feature where I live yet.
If it did, it would probably say, 'We're not going to deliver it today, there were high winds somewhere yesterday and everyone knows planes don't fly through high winds, so don't complain about how useless we are, cheers'0 -

Do you live here?
I do not.
I live across a thin stretch of water, within reach of an international airport, yet DPD hasn't extended that service here. Technically they hand the parcel off to DPD Ireland but parcels are delivered from the Antrim Depot, Antrim is where Belfast International Airport is, so I don't see why we don't get that service.0 -
Another thumbs up for DPD here. German efficiency at its finest, I'm just surprised no one is even trying to compete with them.
I usually get Tony or John, Tony can never remember my first initial and John always asks me about a t-shirt I wore in August. Apart from their great service their drivers always seem happy.
Parcelforce drivers tend to seem like they've just lost a £20 note, UPS drivers tend to look like they're on the way to a doctors' appointment and Yodel drivers tend to look like they've just landed from another planet with a box in their hand..0 -

I do love a good stereotype! But it made I laugh.
Did the T-shirt say "Welcome, John"?0 -
Ive seen a few complaints but never had an issue, i get a text in the morning with a 2 hour time slow and the driver is usually here within a minute of the start time.
Mainly phones from Vodafone, Although last time i think it was 4 minutes after the start of my time slot.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
