Does anyone have an opinion about the reduced points for non- tesco use 1 point for £8 ( min spend £8) ?

It seems churlish and an alt cash back credit beckons !

yes I am planning to cancel this now, its not worth it anymore esp as I rarely shop at Tesco now.

I've always considered it a(nother Tesco) con anyway. They used to advertise "Earn five Clubcard points for every £4 you spend on it in Tesco", but you only got one point, as the other four were points you got from the Clubcard anyway.

I just carried on using my cashback card, which gives money that can be spent anywhere, not just on overpriced Tesco stuff.
(yes I am another disgruntled, ex Tesco shopper)

I'll only be using mine for my Tesco spending when the points reduce in November. I won't be closing my account though, as I get 650 free points each year, a historic gesture they introduced when switching over from visa (I think).

In the past month or so I have gone from having 3 credit cards to 7 just to try and ensure I get the best of everything (what with so many card Providers tightening up their rewards). Am intrigued to see what Noddle make of this when things get updated next month! I know their rating is meaningless in many ways, but I'm still interested none-the-less!

The points were always an added extra rather than a necessity but annoying nonetheless.

Will look at alternatives but these types of benefit will be dropping all round with the constraints on CC charges.
