Hi. When my husband went to turn on his laptop last night the screen stayed completely blank. All the symbol lights were on. I tried it again earlier & the power light came on & then everything went off. Any help would be apreciated. We`re both novices re laptops. TIA for any help.

Have you tried going into safe mode <F8> then going to "last know configuration" see if that works .
How to go into safe mode ....
To do this you need to hold down or repeatedly tap the F8 key while the computer is booting (when the computer is displaying a black screen with white text). When the boot menu appears, use your keyboard arrows to select "Safe Mode."0 -
if there is a light on the power supply, check it is on.
Try holding the button down for 6 secs, if that doesn't work, try powering up with battery removed, if that doesn't work, and nothing comes on screen, it's bust.Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0 -
The laptop does not even have any white text on it just a blank screen. We could hear it making a noise yestrday, but today nothing at all. The power button came on for a second ot 2 then went off. The laptop is only about a month old.0
