bit grey and windy down here.


had a lovely day at Tilbury Fort and Southend, where we saw Jamie Oliver, Jimmy Docherty and Orlando Bloom filming on the pier.


Back via the yellow and blue shop at Thurrock for a few bits.
Very OS day out all round took picnic and flasks and used our membership for the fort.

Hi everyone,

We got up to the house in Yorkshire after 11 last night to find someone had parked on the drive. It's a private road and everyone owns the stretch in front of their house so it can be difficult to park. We don't actually mind, especially as we haven't been able to get up here for several weeks because of DD's wedding - it gives the house an occupied look.

I need to go shopping this morning and then a bit of light sewing, I brought my small machine with me because I'm going to be alone next week.

Have a good day and I hope things go reasonably Hester and Hilstep and for next week TA if I don't get on here again.

Patch met little Pepi (Yorkie) out on her walk this morning. Pepi fancies himself as Casanova - or maybe Casanunda as he's so small - but he and Patch got on really well.:o

Afternoon all,

We were going to the caravan this weekend to stay and then sort it out: wash it and cover it for the Winter. As the weather is pants we will try to get there over the weekend for the day to do it.

Had an eye test this morning and wasn't surprised when they told me I need to wear glasses all the time now. I've had them for reading and driving for the past couple of years but increasingly have been wearing the weak ones for general 'seeing'. The scariest part is choosing a pair that suit me Oh and the Optometrist told me I had cataracts growing! Thought I was too young to have that, but apparently not.
