Dart charge - wrong registration

Dear OH gave slightly wrong reg. (GH instead of HG) when getting Dart Charge couple of months ago and never noticed it - now we've got a penalty notification. Anybody else done this and can it be used in mitigation? We still have the receipt.

Having also posted this on FB I have been able to make contact with the Dart Charge page - and got a quick response! Apparently this reason can be used in mitigation. Will save me having to pay £35 (or £70):)0
