Lloyds late payments show on Equifax, not on Experian?

Hello, apologies if the answer is on the site already, I can't find it!

Have posted about my husband's bad score before - I know the score isn't actually important, but to give some indication, I checked with Equifax, Noddle and ClearScore last month and the score was very poor (334) mainly due to a Lloyds current acc, £5.00 overdrawn, showing as 6 payments late, up to August this year when the account was settled. With such a recent issue a broker advised we wouldn't be accepted for a mortgage.

We contacted Lloyds to see if they would remove it as a GOGW, as it was a low amount, and they said that such a low amount should not have been reported in the first place, and they would remove the information.
I was a bit dubious about this but thought we'd check again after the suggested 8 weeks.

However, today I checked with Experian for the 1st time, his credit score is excellent (994) and there is no record of him ever having had a Lloyds account!
The other agencies are still showing the bad score with the late payments (but they have not updated since we contacted Lloyds).

Can anyone shed any light on what has happened? I don't want to get too excited.
Many thanks in advance!

What I am understanding here is that a current account with no overdraft facility became overdrawn by £5 and you paid no money into this account for 6 months so the £5 unauthorised overdraft remained constant for the entire 6 months with no fees/charges/interest being added at which time you paid £5 (or more) into the account to clear the £5 overdraft? Is this correct?

Banks don't report to all credit agencies in the same way or at the same time so it could show up later(sometimes much later on one than on others). Also they don't always report to all agencies, I have a car on finance which shows on equifax and experian but not call credit. That's another reason credit scores are really as useless assessment of your financial position as they are so subjective.

I do work for a bank however any comments I make are my own and should not be seen as me giving advice or in any connection to my employer.
  • Ben8282 - yes that's correct.

Yes ProudDad I think it's prob a case of missing info rather than Lloyds having removed it...
