question for woodburner experts

Looking to get one installed this winter, just for cold winter evenings in a smallish room - approx 4x5m.

Havne't even been to a showroom yet, but a friend is getting rid of an old Morso 1410 squirrel and has offered to us. Any good? and would this be an appropriate stove for this size room? Anything specific to look for on a used stove? and presumably while installers would rather you bought a stove from them, they will happily fit one bought elsewhere?

Thanks!

We looked at the Morso Squirrel, it's a lovely looking stove and ideal for your room size. Got great feedback too.

We ended up going for the Charnwood C4 though as our fireplace opening was slightly to small for the Morso. It also came highly recommended as an entry level stove, i hear you need to be careful about overheating it though so we'll be buying a flue thermometer soon.

Bought it from a shop and had it installed by a dedicated installer completely independent from the shop. Only went in a few weeks ago and we've not fired it up yet (other than the test by the installer) as still renovating the rest of that room.

I read in the paper yesterday that installing a stove can increase the value of your property by up to 5%, bonkers!

Thanks, it does sound like its a good one so I should probably snap it up...

Really need to get someone round as I don't know whether our opening is big enough.
