Damp in end wall

Looked at a house with internal signs of damp on the end wall of a Victorian terrace, which was worse upstairs. Wall is exposed brick, west facing, with another house 3m away. Roof, fascias & gutters seem sound (no guttering along this wall as it's the gable end) but the brickwork may need pointing. We did think it might be condensation, as although the house had double glazing, there was condensation on the bedroom windows.

Given the small amount of info we have, no photos and the fact you think that repointing is needed, we can only really assume that it needs repointing!Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
