I have seen a house that has a wet room for people with disabilities, it has some kind of resin / solid vinyl floor. Is it possible to tile over these? I've always wanted a wet room but they are well out of my price range, as the waterproofing has already been done I thought this could be a good opion. See below

If its vinyl then its a no.
Its the vinyl that keeps the water proof integrity of the floor.
With tiling you will need membranes under the tiling, tied into wall membranes and joint tape used. Any less and it will leak like a sieveHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0 -
Could adhesive vinyl floor tiles be used on top to give a tiled effect?0

No, water will get under the edges pretty much straight away
The existing should be rolled up the walls by 150mm. There are many types of sheet vinyl by polyflor and altro that could be usedHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0 -
