Reclaim Egg PPI with no documentation

Please help. I've tried before with this but failed.
I had a egg credit card and a loan and have no clue if I was misold PPI. I have no documentation and no idea of dates. Yep, I think it may be a lost case!
If anyone can help then please do.
I think I may have to go to a company to help.

did you even have PPI
If so, and you have no idea if you were miss sold PPI, then you aren't going to be able to prove it.
When is the cc and the loan from.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Thanks so much for replying.
This is the problem. No clue to the answer of either question. I was very stupid with money at the time and kept nothing. I was hoping there was a way to find it from my bank details or address.
I'm thinking this is a lost cause but thanks again for the reply.0 -

This would be better in the PPI and other insurance forum. However, in the circumstances you have described, a company is unlikely to be of much help to you. All a company does is put in a complaint on your behalf. If you have no idea whether you were missold PPI then how can they, in good faith, put in a complaint on your behalf that you were (NB, in practice many of them will just slap in a standard letter alleging allsorts on your behalf, but this is not something that I am going to advocate as it is highly immoral, not to mention potentially fraudulent).
Firstly, if you don't know already I would contact Egg and ask whether you actually had PPI with your borrowing. Then have a look at some of the info on this site and decide whether you think any of the potential complaint reasons apply to you. You are limited in this respect as you can't really complain in good faith about what was said or done at the time of sale if you have no memory of it (without lying, which I again would not condone, though plenty of people do it). However, there are a limited number of reasons which may still apply. If you think they do then complain directly and don't use a CMC.0 -
@birf I have sent you a PM with some info that will hopefully help you or at least give you a starting point.0

Spiritbear, please don't PM if you are one of these companies. It is against forum rules.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

McKneff - I am not working for one of those companies. The reason I PM'ed instead of posting publicly is because I asked for help myself and basically I felt stupid, I though this place was supposed to help. But I have felt since joining is stupid for not knowing how dealing ppi works.0
