Word and Excel files very slow to open.

    Normal template might be screwed.

    Repair office and see how that goes
    (control panel, programs and features, msoffice, change/repair)

    checked that they are saved as .xls and docx files. still no difference in delay of opening them.

    tried this andy and it would not complete the repair procedure. came back with a message after a few seconds of 'microsoft office enterprise 2007 did not complete successfully' ??

    anyhow, thanks again for trying.
