OH and I are off to Iceland this coming March. Flights and hotels come to under £500 for both of us, so pretty good deal.
Just wondering if anyone has been to Iceland and their experiences? Recommended excursions, restaurants, bars, prices and so on. Any advice greatly appreciated :-)

You're supposed to take the pizza out of the box before you eat it0 -
Assuming you're staying in Reykjavik, you'll probably want to do the 'golden circle', which takes in some classic tourist sites. You can do this as a tour, but you might consider hiring a car instead. When we did this, the cost was comparable, but we could go at our own pace!0

Hi Gabriel,
We loved Iceland and it's people! We had around 5 days there and did quite a bit. You can read about our exploits below if you want. The Golden Circle excursion was great as was the blue lagoon. Have a great time!

We really enjoyed exploring the geothermal area near Akureyri. Also driving around the Snaefellsnes peninsula.
But Iceland is a big country. Where are you going exactly?0 -
We did a Blue Lagoon trip, an excursion based on Games of Thrones, Golden Circle excursion, we walked around the city, we did a boat trip to see the Northern Lights and a whale watching boat trip. We saw Hallgr!mskirkja, fab views from the top. We also visited quite a few museums including The Icelandic Phallological Museum. Loads to do.No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!
Thanks to everyone who posts competitions. You are the stars of the board :T:j:T0
