I am a non tech female and I need to set up my PC with a router .....Could some kind person help me please?
I have been accessing internet via dial up broadband on my PC and have just bought a laptop and a router. I have managed (!!!) to set up the router and have been accessing the internet on the laptop with no problem. Have now bought another length of ethernet cable to connect the PC to the router as well.
I was told that all I needed to do was connect the ethernet cable to my pc and it would work...but it doesn't.
I had a look in the connections folder and the icon for klocal area connectiond says disabled. when I double clicked on it it said enabling, but then said connecyion failed......
What do I need to do please?
Thanks
