will i lose benefits wen my son goes to residential care school

My son has finally been given a place by local authority hes been out of school for 5 yrs! Its in a specialist educational residential school. I currently receive child tax credits, dla and child benefit for him. When he starts will all of these stop even though I have to provide clothing inc uniform. Spending money etc. He will return home for school holidays only.
