Debenhams returns

Not sure if this is the right board - but anyway! I recently early September ordered a large number of dresses from Debenhams. Nothing out of the ordinary for me as I tend to order a lot and keep a couple. Anyway lots of parcels arrived and I saved them to try one at once as the dress was for a wedding and wanted to decide between them all. Picked the one I wanted and returns 4 parcels. I was undecided about three others that I could potentially wear for work so kept them to one side. A week later my returns were all credited on my account. Then I decided to keep one of the three that is was undecided about, and packaged up the remaining two. I couldnt find the proper returns slip that goes inside the parcel so I downloaded it from Debenham's site and handwrote it. Sent it off via Royal Mail. On my account it now says
Despatched Signature From Customer
and when I queried why I'd not been credited already by Debenhams they asked for proof of posting. Unfortunately I can find every single returns proof of posting I've ever sent back to them (and trust me there are a LOT) but not that one.

I could potentially ask the local post office if they have the ability to find it as I know the date, approximate time and the post code it was sent to to see if they can look it up on their computers but I tend to think they won't help.

I'm finding it a bit odd that everything else on my account is showing as either despatched or return completed EXCEPT for these two items. The returned items are worth £80 in total and I really can't afford to lose that at the moment. Can anyone help/advise (apart from saying find the proof of posting!)
