Hi I have just upgraded from Windows Vista to Windows 7 and have a Canon Laser Fax/printer, L-295 which is like new still and has not been used that heavily yet I cannot select it to print and Canon support says no longer supported with no expectation of any new drivers being brought out.
I'm not so bothered about the fax part as I've hardly ever used that part but is there a way to get the printer side working, with some driver from somewhere?
It seems crazy to just junk a perectly good laser printer and makes upgrading Windows unnecessarily expensive.
I will eventually upgrade to Windows 10 but dont expect that to resolve anything.
Any help appreciated.

Try installing it as a generic PCL printer, if that won't work you are goosed.0

When installing use the manual option, then, 'Use Windows Update to find drivers', can't remember exactly where the option is, it may take a while to find a driver, but it found drivers for my HP1320 when I moved to Win 7.
The printer also works in Win 10.Move along, nothing to see.0 -
You could always install Windows Vista or XP in a "Virtual Machine" and then print documents from that virtual machine. There is a free piece of software called Virtual Box that would allow you to do this.
The other option is to 'dual boot' and install both Vista and 7 on your PC and when you want to print you restart and select Vista.Changing the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.0
