Cannot install Kasp 2016 on laptop

Kasp 2016 will not be installed on my laptop. In the end I am using avg free antivirus but the trial offer is only 30 days. Can anybody help? Thanks

    Do you have an older version of Kaspersky on your laptop already?

    I spoke with Kaspersky Tech support yesterday, and they told me I had to uninstall KIS 2014 before installing KIS 2016.

    I agree with edddy uninstall any old KIS first using their tool available from their site.
