Hi everyone, first post on the forum.
Basically I had a 1 year contract with Virgin Media at a property I was renting. I moved out of the property to live with my girlfriend so called Virgin to move the service only to discover that Virgin is not available there. As a result I moved to SKY and Virgin sent me a demand for £306.71 which was payment up to the end of the contract.
As far as I am concerned I was very happy with Virgin and wanted to stay with them, however they cannot offer me a service. Why should I pay for a service that Virgin cannot provide ?
Has anyone dealt with this before and know of a good letter template that I can use to conclude this matter ?
In addition ...they have sent me a default notice which states "PAYMENT OF THE FULL BALANCE OF £306.71 WITHIN 14 DAYS OF THE DATE OF THIS DEFAULT NOTICE" .....................theres no date on the letter :T #priceless

You have no leg to stand on. It's not VMs fault you moved to an address that they were unable to provide a service. You signed a contract with a minimum term, and unless you get goodwill you will have have to swallow it.0

The default notice has no date on it making it worthless0

Regardless, you rightfully owe them money and they will continue to chase you until its paid.0 -

Please keep us updated though. :T0 -
Do a forum search and you will see that this question is asked with monotonous regularity. VM does not offer a universal service, and your contract is at the original address and no other Had you moved the service with you, you would have commenced a new minimum term contract.
Therefore you are in breach of contract and the full ETC is due on termination. Failure to pay will trash your credit record for 6 years.
No 'template letter' will change this.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

Yes, as follows:"Dear Virgin Media,
Further to your recent letter, please find enclosed cheque for £306.71 as requested.
