Potential PPI More Than 6 Years Old

After getting numerous phonecalls and ignoring them I thought it was time to see if I am owed any compensation for mis-sold PPI. My problem is that Equifax only goes back 6 years and I know I haven't had any in that time. Before that I had at least 5 credit cards and loans and I can't remember the details and didn't keep paperwork. For example, my first mortgage was with Northern Rock and I also had 2 loans with them. Has anyone any advice on how to get older credit data and then claim for PPI if necessary?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Your own files are the only place you can go for historic stuff.
If you cannot remember the loans and whether you had PPI on them or not then what would your reasons for complaint be?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Thanks for your valid question. My answer is simply that if I have been mis-sold something in the past I would like justice. I used to work for a bank and I know how widespread and unscrupulous things were in the past.0

If you don't have any records then your only real options are to call round any lenders you think you may have had products with and ask them or, alternatively, send them DSAR requests.Cheesy1976 wrote: »Thanks for your valid question. This is not a complaint point. Assuming you did have products protected by a PPI policy what makes you think any of the policies were mis-sold?0
