Does anyone have a Gazco fire with this remote
I'm not sure on my fires model at the moment as I'm at work, but it uses this remote
This fire is driving me insane. The remote is battery powered by 2xAA and the fire itself as a battery pack at the side of the chimney breast which takes 3xC batteries
If I put in brand new batteries, it works fine, the pilot light comes on, and the fire starts, but after a few days it no longer wants to work first time, or at all
I put in new alkaline batteries on Friday, used the fire for 5 mins to check it, and then went to turn it on last night and the pilot light doens't stay alight for long enough to spark the gas
It was fitted by the last owners
Anyone had a similar issue?

Need more info.
Your batteries may be alkaline but are they any good.
Poundshop alkaline batteries do indeed run out after a day in some uses.
Some things need proper batteries. This may be one of them.0 -
I'm using Duracells which were bought on Friday, after a bit of a Google hunt I've found the batteries run out super quick, and there may be an option to switch to a transformer, but I can't find one online yet0

Can't help as entire fire now broken and Gazco don't sell vital part for my 4 yr old fire (Studio 1) with same remote. No help whatsoever and retailer I bought it from doesn't buy spares. Local retailer can buy a built part work around from Gazco for £500. I am not best pleased. My fire is now an ornament.0
