Carpet Quote

Options
Hi all,

We are in the process of buying a house and so we are new to all the added extras we need to purchase. We have been quoted £299 for Noble Carpet Silver Cloud Saxony with 8 mm underlay for a 16sqm room.

Can anyone tell me if this is a fair price. I'm happy to go with it if it is, I just want to make sure :)

Thank in advance,

K x

if so its coming up at £127 for 16sqm

I am in no way affiliated with these people btw just had good experience with them.

8mm underlay with the same people looks to be £39.99

Had a 16sqm room fitted for £40 (fitting only) and then I bought the carpet and underlay separately. Saved me around £250 for the carpet and underlay that I wanted...

    That's the one!

A friends son is a carpet fitter and said he would do the bedroom for £40 so that could well work out a lot cheaper (although I think we would need 2 rolls of underlay as it only fits up to 15 sqm rooms)

If we can get the stairs and landing reduced too we may even be able to afford both done, so thank you very much :)

  • ive that carpet down myself and it does lot a lot more expensive in real life. Also they have often 10-20% off codes floating about

We have actually gone for a different carpet from a local independant store who have arranged very reasonable fitting for us - we have managed to get hall, stairs and landing and bedroom done for £490 including fitting, grippers etc (did got for a slightly better quality carpet on the hall, stairs and landing too.
