They can't force entry unless you let them in first so they can sniff around all they like. Although I agree it can be distressing/annoying to have people banging at the door. I'm also still very paranoid about locking the door when I'm stepping 2m outside the door.

What had happened was that the bailiffs had a warrant to seize goods, and had catalogued everything that they could see at the property, which included my car. Once they had a list, they could come back at a later date to collect it.

I was able to make a compliant to the court, and get the seizure cancelled.
