Honeymoon ideas for 2008

We can only manage to be away for 7 nights, so would prefer to avoid any long haul flights. Other preferences are: somewhere hot (should be ok with that in August), 4/5 star luxury type accommodation, a romantic location, a bit of pampering for the lady (I would have to indulge, if only to keep her company) and any unforgettable/unusual experiences that anyone can suggest to make the holiday memorable (bearing in mind I still want to be married on our return
The budget is around £3000 for the flights and accommodation and in the spirit of this fantastic website; less would be better
Cheers

Hi there
Congratulations. I suppose everyone is different but I think that Malta is a lovely place. There a fab 5* luxury spa resort in Siliema (not had the pleasure of staying there myself) but i saw it whilst staying there. Fortina Spa Resort Siliema. www.hotelfortina.com is theie web address i hope, but you can book it through Eclipsedirect who belong to First Choice. First Choice also have it listed but it more expensive with them. As far as I remember it an over 18 exclusive place & It looks a wonderful place. Malta itself has plenty to see & do Blue Bay is really nice & Gozo is also good for a day trip, but like I said each to their own. Failing that I also love Rhodes esp Pefkos & i'm sure there will be some 5* hotels around there somewhere.
Anyway thats my ideas. All the bestLife's what you make it.:j0 -

Check out www.luxurylink.com, great website with travel package auctions on. Most of the hotels are small boutique, perfect for a honey moon. You can get some amazing deals as it's really only used by the American market even though they have lots of hotels in europe.0
