Windows phone and OneDrive

Hi,
Hopefully an easy question.
I have a windows lumia 925 phone, and when I take photos it auto updates my onedrive account with the photo, which is great.
If i delete the photos from my phone does the photo stay on the onedrive or do i need to do something else apart from delete on phone to keep the photo on the one drive, iyswim.

I am pretty sure they stay in your camera roll folder but just do a test first before deleting important pics.0
