Halifax Reward Previous cashback

Was looking at switching my active current account to Halifax Reward for the £125 and £5 a month

Looking in terms I noticed "Use the Current Account Switch Service and close your old account held elsewhere. If you've had cashback for switching since January 2012, we're sorry but you don't qualify."

I use to have a Halifax account couple of years ago where you got £5 reward a month for paying an amount in each month but they closed it as I wasn't using it actively with DD's etc

Will I not qualify then or will I be ok as I didn't switch to them then it was manual new account set up.

I have never received £125 for switching to them in past if that what they mean? I had a manual account set up few years ago that I paid a standing order in each month to get the £5 reward

If you did not receive a one off payment for opening / switching then you will be eligible for the switching offer.


Your previous receipt of the reward element of £5 per month will not have any impact on your eligibility for the switching bonus now.
