Need to find Experian Credit Report Reference Number

Hi All,

I have used the MSE template letter to try and recoup some of the money I paid to Experian over a three year period for the erroneous 'insurance' they charged us for.

Having sent the letter off they have responded with another letter asking for more details, one of which is my credit report reference number. I don't have these details, and when I log back in to my Experian/Credit Expert account to find it, they want me to pay £14.99 for the 'privilege' of re-joining them! I can't find any other way to find this report number as it's not on any of the previous emails they have sent me.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Many thanks,
Ruth (roof30)

    Hi roof30,

You could try signing up for Experian's 30 day free trial to get a copy of your report again (just remember to cancel within the month if you do this).

Or even check your old emails from when you first signed/ paid them monthly. Did you print any of the reports and keep them? That may help too.

    Thanks for your response Laura.

Unfortunately I have checked all my old emails from Experian and my report reference number doesn't appear on any of them.

If I sign back into my account with them they want to charge me £14.99 straight away (or at least, that's the way I read it when I tried). Is there something I'm missing for the free trial or have I misread the message on their website?

You can't sign up for the free trial again if you've ever had it
