Transit van rear door wont unlock

Hello,

Can anyone tell me how to open a rear door that refuses to open?

It is a 09 plate and you can hear something trying to work on the central locking but nothing happens.

Can you get into the back by another method? Or are you stuck, like a lemon, standing only on the outside hearing it clunk?

Do you mean opening or unlocking?

The question states opening but the description sounds like unlocking.

Hi both and thanks for the quick replies.

It is a lock issue (in that if the lock works you can open the door) and we can use the side door. It has always been ok and has just decide to play up.

Ford have a helpline but it is £1 a minute!

I'd take the panels off and check the wiring as a first port of call.
