  • I agree with Lucky Loo. Whilst some people are so helpful and kind to others, some are just downright rude and off hand. Why bother reading and replying if they can't be helpful and supportive?I feel quite sorry for some newbies to comping,by the cutting comments of some(minority fortunately)What some people need to remember is that some aren't computor savvy and can really struggle finding their way round this site.Others on this site are absolute stars and are so kind and helpful.I suppose that's life -some people are kind ,others not so!Good luck to all that are struggling for wins this year

Oops DynasticDux in the old days we used to post about non wins on this thread too just to even out the goalposts!

In the old days there was just the Compers inn for non comp related posts now there is a whole section for nothing but chat/advice/moans etc.
While it doesn't bother me where it's posted there is no reason the appropriate place shouldn't be pointed out.

It's not as if something like this was posted

    :)

    This section is for
Have you won a competition? Woohooo! Celebrate here!

    not
Have you failed to win a competition? Boohooo! Moan here!
    :)

No I wasn't referring to you at all.I was agreeing to observations made by
    Lucky Loo as below:
    Quote
What I do wonder and have found is the level of negativity and sometimes sheer rudeness on this forum is awful, I have always enjoyed the interaction of this forum almost as much as the entering of the comps, the shared excitement and anticipation used to really spur me on if I became bit fed up of the lack of wins!! However it seems to me that you are shot down for daring to look at a comp post nowadays God forbid you should have a question, be that a repeated question a valid question or even a moan...It is a forum as far as I'm aware forums are around for people to interact on!!

What I find hilarious is generally the people that roll their eye's, quick to say things have been repeated or in the wrong place (in a impolite, sarcastic manner) and act like they set up this comping forum!! (Seriously the hirachy in the walking dead is less brutal!! ) are really the ones that need to go and take a break and revalue how much MSE effects their life as they have forgotten the whole point of what they like to loudly preach...comping is meant to be FUN!!
    End of quote
I have just read another post by Princessnicki22 in which the poster came under in my opinion unnecessary criticism.
  • I agree! I did come under a lot of criticism but I am thick skinned and argued my point as best I could without myself being rude....it has def put me off posting in the forums from now on. Don't want to come under fire off aload of keyboard warriors again

2015 wins so far- cupcakes, handmade earrings, Tabasco hamper, roli egg cooker, Mac lipstick, makeup hamper, boon bath toys, iPad mini, hotel chocolat Easter egg, Mac mascara, Liz Earle cleanse and polish, cordless screwdriver, Chicago town pizza, 3x choc shots, miracle swimsuit (rrp£130) :j
  • For the record though, no one has been as rude in this thread as they were in the one that I started though, it's a shame. I'm all for if you have nothing nice to say etc x

Not a thread I had read before now but as Pri...22 started with
This is not a complaining thread as I still very much enjoy comping as a hobby

some of the responses do seem to be a bit ott.
