Solar panels/New boiler ?

According to my calculations (Based over actual usage for the last 457 days), I go through

2,300 Kwh/year (1700 daytime; 600 night time) Electricity &

8,300 Kwh/year Gas.

I'm going to be sitting in with a friend on a solar panel discussion (Some free & payback scheme) and also my boiler came back from the dead at the weekend (It is an old glow-worm boiler, inefficient but works well).

My unit rates are 30 days @ 18.38p Standing electricity; 11.379p day, 6.041p Night.
Gas 14p/30 days; 2.912p/kwh.

Given my usage(s) would solar panels (I probably have room for 2 on my house)/ a new boiler be worth it ?
