hi, any bathroom fitter here.
I want to ask can you grout and fit the vanity and toliet in the same day.
the tiler have done the tiling and will finish the grout next day he say will take 2 hr (fast setting grout) then wait for it to set for a few hour then the fitter can install the toliet, basin, raditor, door etc
can this be done?

This is our bread and butter work. Fast set adhesive takes 2-4hrs to set and can be grouted after this time. Once grout is applied and finished there is no reason why you can't fit fixtures and fittings. You must not apply silicone sealants until the day after as the grout is still curingHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. ah i see, thanks but why can't he apply silicone around the shower tray?
as the grout would of set?
does that mean he need to come back and finish it?0 -
Your installer should allow the grout to cure, applying silicone to wet grout and it won't adhere correctly. The installer should fully seal the tray to tile joint , allow to dry then fit the enclosure and final silicone around outside and wall profile edges
Too many fit the enclosure then silicone and you end up with gaps behind the wall profile that is not sealed ,water from the drainage channels in the enclosure then leak behind the trayHi, we’ve had to remove your signature.
