I've just replied to a very similar post on IWIWIW, and mine and the other replies on that are very like those on this post - lots and lots of members saying last year / previous years were great for wins, this year pretty rubbish.
For what it's worth my year has gone like this:
January - one £10 voucher and one box of sweets
    Feb - totally dry
    March - pack of pens
April - £1 worth of Clubcard points! Plus, best win of the year - £80 voucher
    May - nothing
    June - zilch
    July - bottle of moisturiser
    August - totally dry again
    September - £10 voucher
October - box of Walkers Crisps; set of signed books / goody bag

So other than the £80 voucher which was great but hardly life changing, I've had little of any value at all this year. And while there are people posting they've won four X Boxes or ££££ cheques, they seem to be shrinking into the minority while more and more of us are reporting years like mine.

I think it's totally down to the fact that more and more people are comping these days - hardly surprising when it's regularly touted in the MSE newsletter as a way to make an income! If I was trying to live off the above wins I'd be destitute by now!
  • I had just over £6,500+ in prizes last year. This year so far I have won £3,340 in prizes my best wins have been a fridge freezer, £100 cash, £100 B&Q vouchers, coffee machine, Sony headphones, Binnoculars, £50 Amazon voucher and the two breakfast hampers. Not bad but I have had to put a lot of work in to win these prizes.

Well I have not been comping for years, believe me back when I had all my wins from this brilliant forum, I was hammering the comps none stop, the time and effort to put into doing them morning day and night and going off to work as well, doing them in my breaks, believe me its draining to get the results that you get. Its like a lucky dip. I think the most I had won was a total of £6,500 in a year.
Wins,Hammerfest weekender tickets,Chris Rea Tickets, more Chris Rea Tickets,
  • I've been obsessively applying myself to comps recently and in the last month all I have won is a deodorant and a blemish stick. Still I've had some great wins in the past so I'll be sticking at it.
