No worries that is just a standing joke between Mrs Bot and myself about her pet newt, we aren't sure if it is male or female but it likes frilly knickers and he/she needs a new lippy.

That aside...

You can come on here and ask any questions you want but you have to understand that any question you can ask will have been asked and answered a thousand times before, some folks get sick of the repeats over and over again (and will tell you to search the forums) and some folks will reply to the same questions over and over again.

At least you got replies

If you ask a question you have to expect the answer you want to hear from some and the answer you don't want to hear from others, we learn by listening to others whether we like it or not.

This forum is like all others there are some nice folks and some nasty folks, what I personally have found is there is a very dry sense of humour

To answer your original question - No - you are probably not doing anything 'wrong'. There are no hard and fast rules. There are lots of advice, suggested tactics and systems. Everyone has a different procedure. Try one, try another, or just stick at the same one and see if it turns around.


Good and bad periods come. I had a few slow months recently. The first week in October has been MAGNIFICENT for me. It comes and goes.


If you've got the patience - just keep going.


As for the more negative responses you have received - a LOT of people post the same things. The 'why am I not winning' thread is quite regular (I know you tried not to come across that way but it did). So some people reply with a 'here we go again'. Don't take it to heart.

PS - I don't have a Unicorn, but I really should have. It is the national animal of Scotland after all (don't believe me - google it!)

You know reading back, I don't think this has been a very negative thread.

In the old days we would have had toys out of the pram and the thread locked; things have really got a lot more civilised on here.

I understand about the repetitive why am I not winning thread but really..,,those that are fed up of reading such threads probably shouldn't have clicked on my post to read......given the subject title was quite explanatory!

I will plod along with my comping and yes I too get excited opening my emails daily despite having such a comping dry spell, it's a lovely hobby x

You sound like a nice person, but not everyone is and they can sit behind their computer and say what they like. I have asked questions before on this site and others and they are made to sound like I shouldnt of asked, or that I am being stupid for asking. Unfortunately you should be able to discuss or ask what you like but you will always get haters and negative comments!
I hope things pick up for you and me and we have some big wins around the corner, good luck
