The day is almost over and I have done nothing except reason with red tape.....to no avail

If the shop would have been cheaper elsewhere, customers will automatically get the difference deducted off their bill immediately, both in store and online.

Could be handy ^^^

I thought it may have taken the difference off on line at payment but it hasn't. Shame.
