not sure how far Downton is from York station but it must have been 4 or 5 hours at least from York to Kings cross going by train in the 1920s and then they would need to find a taxi to get them across London - so Anna who is about to loose her baby again could hold on that long -- ????

thank you, I now have 2 people who love me :D someone else enjoyed the delights of Accor last week as well :D

you must have hit the website just after midnight?

details please - where have you booked and how much for - pm me if it will incriminate you :D

I was up just after 7. I really really really want to get to York again. I want Novohotel so we can go on the train which is a big ask but its not happening. Every week I check.
I will settle for Mercure just off the ring road by the park and ride even if it means having to drive up.

I did wonder about Novohotel leeds but I don't think I could convince OH - then it would be easy to pop up to York on Saturday.

but there again Saturdays are impossible ..

I'm off to Glasgow :D I had hoped to get the Novotel, the last couple of weeks it's been £40 but when I looked last night it was £80  so I've gone with the Mercure instead :) and yes I was on the website at midnight, I wasn't letting anything to spoil my plans :o :rotfl:

This evening will be spent scouring Groupon and the like for places to eat ;) think I've still got a Bella Italia voucher just not sure if it's still valid or not. I've also got some cc vouchers that I could exchange too.

    Thanks again :D

so has anyone checked their Q accounts this morning who participated in last weeks £12 bonus extravaganza?

One of mine was the Wilko order which I collected on Saturday and its tracked but not gone to paid and it says they have to check with the retailer that its not been refunded and the date is early December - confused now as to when and if I will get my tenner. I might FB message them. Its loo paper I am not likely to take it back for a refund :)
This was mainly loo paper. its over wrapped in cling film and sat in the dining room at the mo as OH is refusing to clutter the loft with it :(
He also has not asked why we were bulk buying loo paper which is un nerving in itself

The other order was the Marks one which I also collected on Saturday and its showing as 84p already. The trouble is I bought 2 dresses, same dress difference size, both hideous.
Next day I did another order for 2 more dresses.
so I now have 4 hideous dresses to go back but I am dithering.
Not actually tried any of them on yet so maybe they are not totally hideous

    Morning everyone.

With this new tbm, if you buy some things that are cheaper elsewhere and also use coupons to pay, what happens if once the difference is taken off the balance goes into negative?

T use a similar scenario on their TBG info page (in relation to emergency TBG vouchers if the system is playing up). £1 voucher can be used on £10 shop, £10 voucher cannot be used on £1 shop. Logical really that the till cannot go into negative (though I have in the past used a Love2 voucher in a shop and been given change :)).

excellent - I've studied the maps for Glasgow and the hotels look good, nicely placed for the stations

I did wonder about putting Glasgow on my short list but I think OH would object - he has a sterotyped image of Glasgow - well all city centres have this Saturday night problem. The number of cities on OHs object to list is vast

My only experience of Glasgow is walking across from one station to another very very early one morning but it looked very beautiful

dealzippy is a good place to start looking for interesting meal deals - - don't forget to then go back to TCB

They always said that you'd get the £10 within 72 hours of the cashback being confirmed (ie not just tracked)

December is a normal kind of cashback timeframe so why chase it up?

    Just chillax

(and I've bought 2 things from M&S this past month and both of them say I have until 16th January to return them. These were both instore though but if online is the same you might have to wait until January for that to confirm)
Apparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen
