Noticed today a £25 credit to my new TSB account.
The text on the statement read "TSB Sorry".

I contacted them, and they said that a large number of new customers were sent a letter by mistake, and that this credit is an apology for it. The letter hasn't arrived yet. . Wonder what it could be? They said there was a follow up letter posted to explain the apology and credit.

Anyone else seen this on their account?

I got an incorrect email - They send another email next day saying £25 will be credited because of incorrect email.

I guess most new TSB customers (especially MSE readers) signed up to paperless correspondence to get the 5% interest on balances up to £2k

    Haven't you???

If you have you should be able to find any correspondence in your inbox (or other associated folders such as archive) when you sign into your account online.
  • Hi,
Yes I'm in paperless statements and correspondence, and I have no messages in email or tsb inbox??

They do still send some correspondence by post, even if you have paperless enabled. The recent notification of the upcoming Terms and Conditions changes was one.

This letter could be as simple as them sending something by post unnecessarily when paperless was enabled for all we know. If that were the case, customers might think they weren't correctly registered when in reality they were.
