BT mail - spam filter useless at minute

Anyone else having problems with btinternet mail box?
I have spend last couple of days constantly moving stupid emails into the spam folder.
This happened a few months ago but had resolved itself.
Does it make any difference moving them or should i just delete ?
Thought if I moved emails to spam folder that it would recognise similar coming through but not today
