CRA & banks question and rant

Hi,
I wonder if perhaps somebody could explain to my why banks and CRA's can continue to process data they know to be incorrect? In my own case the impact isn't too bad as, due to bankruptcy, my credit file is screwed anyway for the next year or so (drops next year). However I contacted Noddle recently to say their own records show the bankruptcy, and the discharge, so therefore they know the Halifax debt they are still showing reported as defaulted should not be on there.
They wrote to me recently to say they contact Halifax, who had not responded. They also said there was some sort of suppression put on this info but that Halifax can reactivate this at any time.
I understand CRA's take the information they are provided at face value (whether they should is another matter) but how come when they KNOW it is false they still seem reluctant to do anything about it? I now have no option but to check with Equifax and Experian. If it's not on their then Noddle/Callcredit are simply incompetent.
I don't have much faith in the information commissioner either, DPA breaches have increased significantly lately, but they seem a little too much on the industries side in my view.
Thoughts?

Mixed Martial Arts is the greatest sport known to mankind and anyone who says it is 'a bar room brawl' has never trained in it and has no idea what they are talking about.

A debt included in your bankruptcy should be shown as a default.
Unless you're referring to the date of the default then I'm not sure what you're getting at.
Edit: Or do you mean it isn't showing as "Satisfied"?0 -
IT is the date of the default, all the others are actually showing as ok with the major CRA's so it is a little irritating that this one if out of line.Mixed Martial Arts is the greatest sport known to mankind and anyone who says it is 'a bar room brawl' has never trained in it and has no idea what they are talking about.0

Have you checked clearscore also?? May save you paying to look at your equifax and you could just get your £2 report from experian if you don't want to subscribe.
I'm not exactly sure what your getting at but it will show as defaulted for 6 years and dissappear after the default date.0 -
