In bed at my hotel drinking tea. Always find it hard to wind down after the 4.5 hour drive here.
Completed most of my list this weekend. Today has been a nice chilled out day where I have pottered about and DH has suffered with a hangover :rotfl:
We took the dog out this afternoon and it was very icy and cold. That has been the extent of my exercise this week
I haven't signed up for the trail run yet as I am not sure if DH wants to do it, he may take DS to the football that afternoon instead. If he does and doesn't want to then rush to the run I think I will still run and they can watch/stay at home in the wamth.
The house is still lovely and tidy and all the washing is done. I need to have my house permantly on the market as I love it like this. Either that or stop been such a lazy moo.Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%

I haven't been on here for what feels like weeks!
It looks like we have sold our house as we have 2 ladies competing to give us the best offer. We will accept one of them tomorrow if they are prepared to wait until we have found something, but we might just have found the one.;)
We have viewed a house which we are going to arrange a 2nd viewing for tomorrow. It is a bit smaller than I wanted but is in the absolute perfect location and immaculate, no work required:). it is also detached when I thought we would end up with a semi. It doesn't tick all my boxes but if I made a list there is a very list of pros against a couple of minor cons that I think I can live with. The house has huge potential to extend so would be our forever home instead of the one before it.
DS would also be within walking distance of an outstanding school and we are 2 minutes from running/walking in open countryside.
We will have to live like Trappist monks as DH says to pull together all the money we need in the time required as things are happening much quicker than we expected. It is the top of our budget so we will have the deposit when I receive my bonus this month but will have to save like billy-o for the fees.
I keep looking at the budget on YNAB and trying to knock off a few pounds here and there but not making much progress as we will already be living on one wage!Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%

Thanks MWC.
We are second link. The vendor of the house we are having a second viewing on is moving into a bungalow but I don't know what is happening above her.
Luckily our buyer is in no rush and happy to wait until we find somewhere but it may not come to that (fingers crossed).

Sounds exciting XSpender! Have to say even though we could have got a bigger semi for our money I've never regretted being detached, it does give an extra sense of privacy I think which is nice, even though we have great neighbours
Good luck with it all :TLife is changing...but I'm still Money Saving!0 -
The fact that the house is detached is a real plus point. We did go see the bigger style of semi I thought I would like but I am comparing everything to this house.
2nd viewing has had to be moved to the weekend and DH is dying to put in an offer now so he doesn't have to wait :rotfl:
We are eating d0min0es pizza to celebrate the house selling for full asking price and then it's knuckle down to save every penny for moving
I should receive my annual bonus tomorrow on pay day but since I haven't had a pay slip yet and no-one has confirmed it, who knows? This is my first year and supposedly it always happens like this.:eek:Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%

Pay was a little less than expected due to Mr Tax Man taking a massive chunk of my bonus
I have been looking at bathrooms as the new house will need a new one, for looks more than function and I think we could much better use of the space in the small bathroom.
If we don't get this house we will be gutted as I think we have mentally already packed up and moved in :rotfl:
I must must must run this weekend as I haven't ran in 2016 and have my first very steep trail run next Sunday  in the dark :eek:Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%

2nd viewing went well, rooms bigger than I remembered. We have put an offer in and are waiting to hear back from the vendor. We will raise our offer if need be.
We haven't been through this process in 10 years and are both feeling stressed. I couldn't sleep when ours was up for sale and then was asleep by 9 three nights in a row once it was sold!
I did get out for my run on Sunday but my chest is tight as though my asthma is coming on. Didn't get very far about 2 and a bit miles and my legs are a little tight today.
Last month we used up a fair bit from the freezer so this month I am using up the pantry cupboard. Tin of haricot beans used tonight and some oats and flour for apple crumble last night. I have also fished out a pasta bake jar for tomorrow with some bacon from the freezer to jazz it up a bit.:)
We have changed at DH suggestion how we budget for personal spends and booze and I think it will work well, that is until DH spends his money by the middle of next week and wants a sub from next month. That isn't happening though as we need to save for the moving costs.
It's DH birthday this week and his gift was a fair bit over budget so no suprises for him this time.Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%

We haven't had a decision about our offer on the house yet but the EA seems to think we will get a yes tomorrow. We expected to have to increase our offer so if this offer gets accepted we will be over the moon.
Managed not to spend any money today but will have to buy DH cards tomorrow for his birthday on Friday.Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%

Fingers crossed for you for tomorrow xPaid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
