    So much for my NSD, my settlement cheque to Bank of Scotland has cleared!! So £545.31 today :D

    well it ended up being a NSD - OH and I had an argument about money on the way to bowling so came home instead, think he's finding the whole spending diary, no we can't have everything etc thing hard - but then even in this very tight month we're doing ok - just! So saved £30ish :money:(and OH has been asleep most the evening so hopefully will be in the right frame of mind to look at my September budget I've just drawn up now)

  • Where have you been Moozie? NSD for me. Bought the weekly food shop but that is from a different budget.
    Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally
    Debt in July 2017 = £58,766 😱 DEBT FREE 31 OCTOBER 2017 :T 🎉
    EMERGENCY FUND 1 = £50/£5,000. EMERGENCY FUND 2 = £10/£5,000.
    CHRISTMAS SAVINGS = £0/£500. SEF = £1,400/£12,000 PREMIUM BONDS ME = £350. PREMIUM BONDS DH = £300.
    HOLIDAY MONEY = £0 TIME LEFT TO PAY OFF MORTGAGE = 5 YEARS 1 MONTHS

    Bit of a splurge today - had a pasty for lunch for £2.20 and got wine when shopping (without list) and bought olives at market - so completley off track on my off-track week....next week i will get back on track........

    Thanks for the welcome everyone! It's good to be back and to see you all, old and new faces.

    PAP, I get the impression you did a fab job while I was absent. Feel free to carry on sweetheart. I am sure we can put a bit of team effort in ;)

    I ended up spending £37 yesterday which was more than I had hoped but it was an excellent chatty night.

    Off to look for today's thread...

    I think its always hard adjusting isn't it ... a long sleep will do him wonders and hopefully he'll have woken up looking at the world through thrifty eyes!! :D
