I could have sworn that this time last year, there were loads posted, ready for the 1st of December. Perhaps I'm having a numpty moment (or three) and I'm not looking hard enough for them.
Haven't seen the Haggis Hunt come up either I missed that one last year, I was hoping that it would be back for this year. Never mind.

Agreed - there don't appear to be many fun ones yet. The total time wasters but more than just enter every day.

2 questions

Does anyone have time to go through last years list and see what we were doing and check the pages for the companies eg if they ran on fb last year see if anything on their page now.

If it's a bit of a poor advent and suddenly they have a really good prize drop a note in here on that day incase we X off the advent on main board as being low value / not enough time to enter as things heat up.

Decent advent prizes have been getting fewer and fewer over the last 3 or so years.
The last remaining real big one disappeared last year because they wanted to concentrate their marketing efforts on Black Friday/Cyber Monday as many now do.
That does not leave much for Advents as there are still the New Year (or earlier) sales to promote and the December run up to Christmas is just much less important than it used to be for non food retailers.

Thank you, I have decided to take part this year and have not tick the advent threads and will just thank the posts so i now what it new and what i have done.

Last year there had been 94 posts to the Advent Sticky by 25/11, this year there are 100. We are in roughly the same place.

I mis-typed it as Advent Sicky. Perhaps that is the way to get time to do them all?

Does anyone have any good tips for best organising the advents?

I have 3 bookmarked folders; one for FB, one for Twitter and the other for web enteries which I'll go through daily. Is there a better way?

I'm trying not to get stressed about it and remember it's a hobby. In all my years of comping I've never had much luck with advent comps but heres hoping that changes this year!

Good Luck everyone. After my first experience last year im sticking to quality over quantity this year must have entered loads every single day and came away with an In the night garden colouring book for my efforts :-)
