Time Between Dates

Hi All,

I have two columns on a spreadsheet A and B. A states the time when an order was requested e.g. 04/04/2013 and B states when it was processed including the time e.g. 01/01/2014 11:05. How can I calculate the difference in days between the two dates?

In my Excel (2010), I just entered a formula to subtract one from the other. I'm guessing it assumes midnight for dates where no time is specified, as it gave 44.45-odd for the answer, so you just need to int() that:

=int(b1-a1)

Just do -B-A

That will give you the number of days as a floating point eg 3.458333 etc

eg 3.4 days

you can then just round down or up as you require

even easier, just have both input and the output cells formatted as dates, and subtract one from the other
