My situation.

36 single mum of 2.( Daughter 19, last year at college, going to uni 2016) (son 17 disabled 1st yr at college)

I'm currently unemployed and doing an Access to Hugher Education course at college and am wanting to study Nursing at uni next year. I'm in social housing and get housing benefit, child tax credit (disabled premium) carers allowance and income support . What would my Finances be for uni? What would or could I apply for? Can my son go on rent book as will be 18 next year but still in education and disabled. Any help gratefully received. I want to make sure I will be able to still live, keep a roof over head and support my son.
Thank x

If you're in England, you can get a quote from the Student Finance England website. You can include all of the things you mentioned above and that will give you an estimate of how much you'll get, obviously it isn't a finalised about until you apply and it's agreed by SFE but at least you have a rough estimate.

The maximum on nhs bursary is about £5k. Plus £2.5k student loan. So roughly £7.5k a year. Youll still get child benefit/credits for yr youngest, til he leaves education. If yr eldest is at uni, you wont have to pay council tax. Other than that, theres nothing else
