Virgin outage

Does anyone know if the service message 'Some users are unable to access personal web pages' means that the whole UK is out....Virgin Cable Broadband that is.

Since 6pm yesterday, I just can get nothing from them, and don't really understand the message on their website ( accessed through work).

Do you have a virgin phone as well? If so ring 150 , and on the broadband option it will tell you if areas are down. if you dont have virgin phone the number is 0845 454 1111

Thanks, but tried the landline no and they direct you to the 090 number. Why should I pay for their outage? Best to ask here first!

no they should give you a service message at the end,telling if any areas are down. well they do if i ring 150.

Thank you for your help....I picked up the same message..


'difficulties accessing their Personal Web Pages'


It is the message above I do not understand....does that mean the whole Server is down? I am in the Portsmouth area by the way, none of those listed, except 'Nationwide' !

Personal webpages would mean if you had anything hosted with them on the free webspace they provide.

Basically if you used it to host a picture/file it might not be accessable, but the internet etc should still work fine

I guess I had better pay more money in to their coffers the, ie 090xx etc!
